Chris Wood (of Medeski, Martin & Wood) and Oliver Wood (of King Johnson) are currently on the road as "The Wood Brothers." Their music is sort of a blend of folk and blues with a little rock in there somewhere. (Good stuff!)

They'll be playing a couple of shows supporting Brandi Carlile (one of which I'll be reviewing for Relix - yea!) After that, they will play Mountain Stage and a bunch of other places, including Eddie's Attic.

They have a live CD available and a studio CD coming out in March.

The Wood Brothers were awesome in Philadelphia on Friday! It's just too bad the people at the bar wouldn't stop talking.

You gotta check out their music. You can listen to a few songs on myspace. Here (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=50914617) is the link. I especially love the song "Luckiest Man." It actually reminds me of some other song, but I can't place it.

The Wood Brothers are both in other bands, so they won't be touring forever. Check them out if they are in your town (and please be more polite than the Philadelphia crowd and be quiet and listen.)
