i've always liked nineteen forty-five, but i've really been listening a LOT more since i really got into will's drumming on aray's may and october (errr... roctober) tours.

is anyone else here a nineteen forty-five fan?

and any thoughts on snow machine, katherine's (semi) solo project? i LOVE the CD! but i have not seen snow machine live and i heard that it's a less-than-impressive live act. :(

anyway...

ps- katherine's like seriously pregnant. hence no new snow machine/nineteen forty-five gig dates.

i think i like any band that katherine's apart of. i really liked three finger cowboy when they were in existence...

as for snow machine...i love the cd too...and as far as live performance goes and only having seen them open for aray a couple times, they weren't overly exciting. they were a little too mellow for that kind of show. imho, i don't think it's the type of music to get a punk rock show going. i think if they did a show on their own or with someone else, they could be way better.

my two cents :)

yeah, i heard not-so-great things about live snow machine. again, i'd love to experience it for myself, but that will have to wait since they don't have any gigs planned. and i think you're right - they were just a bad choice for an opener for amy. too mellow.

now, if nineteen forty-five had opened for amy. . . yeah, not mellow at all.

(i heart katherine too. i liked 3fc, but i like snow machine and nineteen forty-five *SO* much better)

ever heard of sunny so brite (http://www.sunnysobrite.com/teamsobrite.htm)? katharine's somehow part of that band too. or at least maybe during the live shows. i don't think she's on the albums. i only have the latest cd and she's not on that one.

ode to katharine:

Speaking of Birmingham bands I came across this: Low Dose Exposure (http://www.lowdoseexposure.com/). Looks like potential to be a great comp cd. Katharine's on it of course. Twice. I think this pic alone is worth buying the CD:

i love will with the hat on!

have you stalked this website yet? http://sponiczine.com/article_detail.asp?id=898 ;)
i just came across it. gotta love google. it's a pretty good article. a couple of pics.

do you remember the first daemon sampler (the multimedia one)? although no will, there's some good katharine (with short hair!) /hunter/3FC footage on it. not to mention some entertaining moments with amy and one of those pore strip thingys. :D

yup. i loooove that article. i posted it to my live journal a few days ago.

dude, that first daemon sampler kicks ass. sadly, it won't play in my new computer, i'm not sure why. but yeah, i used to watch it on my old 'puter.

i'm really not as big of a fan of 3FC as i am of nineteen forty-five and snow machine. for some reason, i never got so into them. hmmmmm...
