Definately go see Cordero whenever you get a chance, they are really awesome!! Ani Fricken rocks at everything she does. Their music just makes you want to dance. I saw them in Philly at the AR show, they opened up for her. That was a great show, it was the east coast tour.

Yup, Ani's Awesome! I was surprised that the keyboardist had left when Cordero opened for AR in NoHo last spring, but the fellow with the horn added a nice new flair to the music.
When I spoke to Ani back then, she said she had gotten a day job, but that it was a good thing because it let her schedule time to write new material.

Cordero has signed with Bloodshot Records and they have a new CD coming out on March 14th.
From www.bloodshotrecords.com:
"Cordero's submission of the song "Close Your House Down" to Bloodshot Records 10 Year anniversary compilation CD For A Decade of Sin so floored us that we gathered them up and begged to release their next album. A new version of the song appears on En este momento."
GOLDEN - While I was looking at Cordero's website, I noticed that Laurel Deppen has moved Silverleaf Booking to Cherry Hill, NJ. That's 15 minutes from where I live. Now you can visit Laurel and me at the same time! Cordero is playing in Philadelphia on March 7th. It's a Tuesday night, but if you can take off work and want to stay here and go to the show with me, let me know. -Maureen

SUMMERT - Yeah - Laurel has been in Jersey for about three months now. She use to live about 15 minutes from me. Her guy is in Jersey - so you know.. ;)
Hmmm - Tuesday night. I dont think I can swing a Tuesday. I can certainly look into it though.
Excellent oportunity for Cordero and the new record deal. Hopefully new avenues will open up for them. They really are a great band.
