Only $100 a ticket! WTF?

According to someone on the ARay BBS, this is a very intimate venue in someone's converted barn. It only seats about 200 -- it's all GA -- and no matter where you sit, the furthest you'll be is 45 ft. from the stage. It just seems like a lot of $$$ to me considering that MoSun is only a little bit bigger and only charged $40/ticket . Dinner isn't included in the $100 fee.

I could quote Q and say a mere $100/ticket..WTF?

as this is 60 miles from where we live, so we'll probably go.. I've never heard of the place... I mean I spend that much on hotel and gas to see most concerts anyway.. I think my mind can try to justify the high ticket cost this way.

Hell if I can get the IG to play my backyard for a $100/ticket, I'll let all my friends in for half price :rolleyes:

I guess if you are a small venue owner, and you only have 200 seats to sell, you need to break even somehow. I remember seeing a figure somewhere that it cost $40,000 to book IG for a show (although it only costs $5K if you want Amy solo), so if you don't have any corporate entities sponsoring your venue, I guess you have to raise the ticket charge to compensate.

It's FOUR days after my birthday. I actually contemplated this show, but I think I want to do other stuff instead.

woodlady and spike - plan on going - it's carol noonans barn - who is just super well known in maine (and yeah it's about an hour from the camp i go to so maybe i can hope the IG can "Drop by" camp or something...)
